I first took notice to Alice+Olivia when I browsing for a pair of flip-flops in Payless. To my surprise I walked out with the cutest little wedge black heels, that I still wear. That was 3 years ago. Now not only does the brand make bella clothes and shoes, Alice+Olivia has a collection at MAC.

 

 

The uber bright collection comes in pigments, dazzleglass creme, and lacquer. Pretty blues, yellows, purples, and even white?! But you may want to visit a MAC store or call your fav MUA because the pigment is SOLD OUT on their site and I have a sneaky feeling due to their cuteness the lacquer and dazzleglass are soon to follow!

Who is Carol's Daughter?

Where have you been? If you are just now learning about Carol’s Daughter it may be because of the more recent celebrity endorsements the brand has been receiving. Somewhere along the way America figured out that “celebrity sells”. With top names like, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Mary J Blige, Erykah Badu, and Chaka Khan backing your brand – what girl doesn’t want to try these products?

You might be asking yourself, well who is Carol’s Daughter. Carol’s Daughter is Brooklyn native Lisa Price. In the 90’s she began experimenting with oils and fragrances to make as gifts for her friends and family. And isn’t that the beginning to all great things – small. Word of mouth spread and soon a demand for her product was conceived.

 

The first boutique for Carol’s Daughter was opened in 1999. A comfy cozy spot in Brooklyn’s Fort Green neighborhood that lead to the success of landing TV spots on The Today Show, The View, and Oprah Winfrey. We all know when Oprah approves so does the world.

15 years later, Carol’s Daughter is still genuinely natural and made with love. I remember the first time I discovered the products in the Sephora store it was almost a magically encounter. The beautiful shades of brown on the packaging and displays let you know every product is made by hand and screams natural. Carol’s Daughter has tons of products for skin, hair, smell goods, and now a new fragrance by MJB, “My Life”.

Thanks to Sarah Burton I have just had my first fashion orgasm for the month. She has proven that she was and is the most logical choice to carry on McQueen's legacy.

Burton has done an outstanding job combining her femme style without losing the McQueen drama he was known for. This collection is amazingly edgy yet still holds true to traditional pieces! I could go on for days about the collection but I will let you view for yourself.

Oh what fashion whore wouldn't give their first born child for a seat at the Chanel fashion show during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2011. The event was held at Grand Palais on July 6, 2010 in Paris, France.
