Why I Blog

WHY I BLOG?

I asked myself that question months ago when I decided I would change my blog name. Well, more like it was suggested that I change my blog name and grab a focus and stick with it.

I never truly answered it. I just keep blogging. I figured who cares what my url name is as long as my content is consistent, informative, and entertaining. NOT TRUE.

I spend my most of my Fridays blog surfing. Reading, commenting, and getting inspired to write more each day. Admiring how bloggers have changed the face of journalism. Watching the journey of my favorite fashion and style bloggers like Bryan Boy, Susie Bubble, and of course the young style guru Tavi. But as look into the blogosphere where do me and my blog fit. Why do I blog?

I blog because I love to write. About anything! Its my therapy. I remember as a kid keeping a diary, and documenting my life's journey. Secretly wishing someone would pick it up, read it and understand me, without me even saying a word. Blogging reminds of that. Having this unique connection to your reader without even a hello sometimes. That concept has intrigued me.

So I blog because I wanted to be a part of this great writing experience. Who knows, ten years later we'll probably be on to the next great thing. But I can say that I am a blogger!

So to my blogger fam - WHY DO YOU BLOG?

I really relate with the reasons why you blog, I think many of my reasons are similar.
I love to blog because I feel like I'm a part of this great community, I'm constantly getting inspired by other bloggers and I hope that what I post is inspiring people too. I also blog because I used to love to write just for fun, but since entering university I haven't been able to do as much personal writing as I wish I could. My blog helps me keep up with my writing and practice, and I like the idea that others can read what I write. Blogs have created such an incredible community online, and slowly but surely everyone will realize the importance and impact that blogs have on people worldwide. I blog to be a part of this movement in journalism and writing.

We are really "apart of history in the making" as they say.

I used to be worried because my blog doesn't have a focus. The blogs that I love to follow all have some kind of focus and I thought mine should too. WRONG. I can't conform to the way other bloggers decide how to use their blog. I just like to randomly write as well. I swear I had adult onset ADD. Choosing to stick to one niche would kill the joy of blogging for me. It would become a job and not something I do for fun. So I feel you girl!

Finally someone who feels my pain! Thanks Iadzilma! (its to have ADD..)
